Mission

Expanding access to health, wellness, and the support that helps people thrive.

WellWoven Center for Health & Resilience is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and community health and wellness capacity-builder, strengthening care by expanding access to education, resources, and support. We invest in individuals, families, and the organizations that serve them — with a special commitment to military- and veteran-connected individuals and families, and other underserved communities. Through community education, partnerships, capacity building, and the WellWoven Community Access Fund, we are building a woven network of care where every person has the opportunity to thrive.

Vision

A future where every person has access to the care and community they need to thrive.

We envision a woven network of strong, well-resourced community organizations — equipped to deliver consistent, research-informed care to the people they already serve, with a special commitment to military- and veteran-connected families and other underserved communities.

Our story

We were tired of watching good people burn out building everything from scratch.

Time and again, we met community change agents — pastors, veteran organizers, therapists, coaches, small nonprofit directors — with a clear vision for the people in front of them and no realistic path to bring it to life. They were carrying curriculum design, fundraising, training, direct care, and organizational growth all at once.

WellWoven exists to take that weight off. We design turnkey health and wellness programs and build the capacity of the organizations that host them. Through community education and partnerships, we share resources, training, and infrastructure. Through the WellWoven Community Access Fund, we expand access to care with scholarships and awards that lower financial barriers. And we translate research into practical tools so community work keeps getting better. Our partners stay focused on the people they were called to serve — and the relationships that make any of this matter.

Our core values

Six values that shape every decision we make.

These aren't statements on a wall. They're the lens we use when we choose partners, design programs, allocate resources, and measure whether we're actually doing the work we said we'd do.

Dignity

Every person carries inherent worth. Our programs honor it — never stigmatize, reduce, or shame.

Equity

We direct our deepest investment toward those most overlooked. Marginalized communities are our purpose, not an afterthought.

Evidence

We practice translational science — taking what works in clinical research and adapting it for community settings, then evaluating honestly so the next version is better than the last.

Community

Change happens from the inside out. We strengthen the leaders and organizations already embedded in their communities.

Wholeness

Health is more than the absence of illness. We pursue mental, physical, social, and spiritual flourishing as inseparable.

Integrity

We do what we say. We're transparent with partners, funders, and communities about our approach and our limits.

Board of Directors

Governed by people who know the work — and who answer for it.

Our founding board is being seated now. Roles below reflect the governance structure we are building. Named appointments will be published as each seat is confirmed.

Governance commitments

Five commitments we hold ourselves to.

Transparency

We publish our outcomes — including the ones we wish were better. Annual reporting, open evaluation methodology, and clear use-of-funds breakdowns.

Ethical oversight

All program research is conducted under appropriate ethical review. Participant safety, consent, and confidentiality come before any organizational interest.

Responsible stewardship

Donor and grant funds are tracked, audited, and reported. We hold a 501(c)(3) designation and operate under standard nonprofit financial controls.

Independent governance

Our board includes independent voices from clinical practice, community leadership, and nonprofit operations — with real authority, not ceremonial seats.

Core values

We are committed to the values that shape our work — dignity, equity, evidence, community, wholeness, and integrity — and we hold ourselves accountable to them in how we partner, allocate resources, and measure impact.

Annual reporting

Each year we publish a public report covering programs delivered, outcomes measured, financials, and what we learned — including what didn't work.
