About WellWoven

Strengthening the organizations that hold communities together.

WellWoven Center for Health & Resilience is a values-driven nonprofit focused on capacity building for community-based organizations — churches, veteran groups, grassroots coalitions, and military family support nonprofits. We bring the expertise, funding support, and infrastructure so they can focus on what matters most: their people.

Our story

We were tired of watching good people burn out building everything from scratch.

Time and again, we met community change agents — pastors, veteran organizers, therapists, coaches, small nonprofit directors — with a clear vision for the people in front of them and no realistic path to bring it to life. They were carrying curriculum design, fundraising, training, and direct care all at once.

WellWoven exists to take that weight off. We design the program. We provide funding support based on the resources available to us. We train the facilitators. Our partners stay focused on the people they were called to serve — and the relationships that make any of this matter.

What we believe

Three convictions shape every program we build.

01

The people closest already know the family.

Outside experts arrive with a binder. The sponsor, the coach, the case manager, the volunteer coordinator — they already know the kid's name, the mom's shift schedule, who sits in the back row. We build everything around the relationships that were there before us.

02

Rooted in evidence. Designed for real people.

Our programs are shaped by clinical insight and rooted in trauma-aware, evidence-informed practice. They are also built for real life — designed to be led by everyday people, in ordinary spaces, where meaningful change actually happens. Both matter. Neither is optional.

03

Capacity, not control.

We don't put our logo on the front of the workbook. Partner organizations — whether a congregation, a veteran group, or a neighborhood coalition — keep their name, their voice, and their relationships. We sit behind them with the curriculum, the training, funding support based on available resources, and the supervision, so they get to keep doing what they were already doing, just with more room to breathe.

Our core values

Six values that shape every decision we make.

These aren't statements on a wall. They're the lens we use when we choose partners, design programs, allocate resources, and measure whether we're actually doing the work we said we'd do.

Dignity

Every person carries inherent worth. Our programs honor it — never stigmatize, reduce, or shame.

Equity

We direct our deepest investment toward those most overlooked. Marginalized communities are our purpose, not an afterthought.

Evidence

We commit to what actually works — researching, evaluating, and improving honestly, even when results are hard.

Community

Change happens from the inside out. We strengthen the leaders and organizations already embedded in their communities.

Wholeness

Health is more than the absence of illness. We pursue mental, physical, social, and spiritual flourishing as inseparable.

Integrity

We do what we say. We're transparent with partners, funders, and communities about our approach and our limits.

Work with us

If your organization is already doing the work, we'd love to walk alongside you.
