The program
A pathway of healing, not a one-time event.
Wells of Recovery is a Christ-centered, clinically informed, and trauma-informed community-based recovery program for anyone navigating addiction.
This 10-week discipleship experience integrates biblical truth with practical tools to help you heal, grow, and build lasting change in a safe, grace-filled community. Developed by a licensed clinician, without being a clinical program, it's facilitated by trained facilitators and peer mentors who are equipped through the Wells of Recovery Framework.
10-week journey
Each week builds on the last, creating a progressive pathway of healing and growth.
Trained Facilitators & Peer Mentors
Led by trained facilitators and peer mentors equipped through the Wells of Recovery Framework, which includes group leadership, boundaries, confidentiality, and trauma-informed care.
Scripturally grounded
Biblical truth woven through every session, as foundation rather than illustration.
Clinically & trauma-informed
Shaped by research-backed approaches to behavior change, emotional awareness, and habit formation, with trauma-informed care woven through every session.
The framework
A progressive journey through seven Wells.
Throughout Scripture, wells are places people return to be sustained, restored, and renewed. Each Well in this program is an intentional space to slow down, reflect, and draw from something deeper than temporary relief.
- Well 1
Safety
Learning to experience God as a real refuge.
- Well 2
Awareness
Telling the truth about your inner world.
- Well 3
Identity
Challenging false beliefs about who you are.
- Well 4
Lament
Expressing pain honestly before God.
- Well 5
Strongholds
Understanding patterns that keep you stuck.
- Well 6
Renewal
Replacing old patterns with new ones.
- Well 7
Connection
Building safe, honest relationships.
Each week builds on the last.

Through Wells of Recovery Framework Training, specifically for Facilitators and Peer Mentors, your team learns the framework, group leadership, boundaries, confidentiality, and trauma-informed care, so participants feel safe, supported, and understood.

What the training covers
A single-day or multi-day intensive that prepares your team to lead well.
Wells of Recovery Framework Training is a single-day or multi-day intensive specifically for Facilitators and Peer Mentors. It is built around nine teaching blocks, combining theological grounding, a working understanding of addiction, trauma-informed practice, and the practical skills of leading a group safely. Here's the shape of the training at a glance.
- Teaching Block 1
Addiction through the eyes of God
Dignity, refuge, and holding compassion and accountability together.
- Teaching Block 2
What happens in addiction
A plain-language look at reward, relief, and stress, and why recovery isn't a straight line.
- Teaching Block 3
Beyond us vs. them
Dismantling the categories that keep people from asking for help.
- Teaching Block 4
Trauma-informed care
Six familiar principles, and how they build on what churches already do well.
- Teaching Block 5
Using the facilitator guide
The weekly rhythm, the 10-week arc, and how to run a session with confidence.
- Teaching Block 6
Leading safely in relationship
Boundaries, self-disclosure, and staying in a sustainable role.
- Teaching Block 7
Protecting the group
Group agreements and what confidentiality can and cannot promise.
- Teaching Block 8
When something serious happens
Recognizing risk and following a clear crisis response protocol.
- Teaching Block 9
Peer mentor role & guidelines
How mentors walk alongside participants between sessions, and where the role ends.
Full curriculum content, facilitator guides, and participant materials are shared with trained teams as part of the licensed program package.
Become a facilitator
Facilitators lead the weekly session, holding the group agreements, teaching the week's Well, and guiding reflection. It's one of the benefits of the program: your people leave trained, equipped, and confident, and the capability stays with your organization long after the first cohort ends.
Serve as a peer mentor
Peer mentors walk alongside participants, offering encouragement, presence, and lived understanding within clear boundaries. Many mentors come up through the cohort itself, so participants gain a path from being served to serving others.
